In late march I took on my own Dad in a short documentary piece about his job working at the Egremont Market Hall.
In this short Doc I asked him about his rolls within the Market Hall itself, as well as discussed how the Market Hall benefits the community of Egremont.
The equipment I used for the short Doc was a Canon C100, A tripod and my own dolly to create nice smooth shots around the market hall.
I believe the documentary went well as I already had access to the Market Hall, with it being my Dad is the caretaker, and we didn't run into any technical issues along the way.
Despite already having access to the Market Hall, I still had my Dad sign a contributor release form as well as a location release form for professional reasons, as well as this I wrote a small shooting script after recording to guide me in the final edit to achieve the best possible looking documentary.
PAPERWORK
FINAL CRITICAL POINTS
I believe this documentary could have been even better if I had a crew with me that could help in improving audio quality, possibly by adding a boom. Because of this I found it difficult to write a call sheet as the only people on set were me and my dad.
However overall I am happy with the quality of my Documentary and believe I managed to sum up all the points about the Market Hall I wanted to be tolled in the 2 minute margin I had.
