SHOOTING DAY ONE
We started are shoot with the living room scene on day one. Are main cast was me and Saffron with Cameron on Camera, Ben on Lights and Tyler on sound. Me and Cameron utilised a slider for the opening establishing shots making them look smooth and cinematic. As director I set up where all the shots and lighting would be, as well as placed myself as the main character Tom, and Saffron (Hannah) into position for these shots.
We started with the opening living room scene of me alone and then moved on to the couch scene flashback of Tom and Hannah.
SHOOTING DAY TWO
Shooting day two we used the semi bar in the Brampton accommodation and filmed the ending bar scene when I meet Leon who plays the mystery man, and we move into the sunset. As well as shooting the scene itself, Tyler also recorded a lot of foley sound to add to the background aesthetic of the scene.
SHOOTING DAY THREE
Shooting day Three was the turn of the park scene. Saffron returned to act as Hannah, and I chose under the big queen Victoria statue as a beautiful backdrop to the blossoming romance that this flashback scene brings. I was working on a nasty injury this day which affected some of my mobility but me and Cameron still worked together on the visuals and there was no problem on sound from Tyler. All and all a smooth day of shooting.
SHOOTING DAY FOUR
The final day of shooting saw us complete the film with the kitchen telephone scene as well as the final bar bit where Tom imagines what would happen if he went to the bar. The only problem this day of shooting was that I didn’t have access to the pink hoodie I had which would have caused problems with continuity, but we had access to a pink shirt which can be seen being thrown onto the kitchen counter tops, which gives the illusion I removed the hoodie and threw it down.
